Deluxe Bench Seat CoverI specifically ordered this product because it said it was gray and when it arrived earlier today was disappointed to find it not gray. It is more of a khaki/tan.

This slides all over the place if your car does not have the exact items for attaching as shown in the instructions. Mine car doesn’t.

I was worried by another review stating that it didn’t work on leather seats. On our ’07 Honda CR-V with leather it works great! It has two sections of plastic pipe that fit through the seat crevice and hold the cover in place. If that isn’t enough to hold it in place for your dog you can fasten a seatbelt over the cover and there would be even less movement. This cover looks great and attaches easily. Can’t beat it for the price!

This is a heavy, soft seat cover. It protects the back of the seat very well, even with my very active lab. But there are no tethers to keep the bottom of the cover in place. Every other seat cover I have had came with two tethers to slide under the seat to keep the bottom from moving. My lab goes back and forth across the seat and the cover doesn’t stay in place leaving my leather seats vulnerable to both mud and dog nails. I had to put my old seat cover underneath this one so my seat was covered completely at all times.

We recently adopted a 2.5y/o, 66lb, black lab named Maggie. She absolutely loves to go for rides in our 2008 Subaru Forester but only in the back seat – never in the far back. So, to protect her from sliding and the leather from her nails, I scoured Amazon for a good solution. Going on the reviews I purchased this seat cover even though it was more expensive than a lot of the other ones.
Speaking for an 08 Forester, the elastic that holds the sides down has troubles sliding under the seats since the are not raised. I was able to hook the hooks on some plastic coverings on the floor but probably not as good as a raised bench seat (something like a Toyota Highlander, Ford Escape) – mine is more like sedan seats.
The adjustable straps work great, although I would have liked the option of a third strap to be used for the middle since I have 3 head rests and there are extra holes. However, it still works fine. It has 2 plastic pieces (sta-put) that you wedge between the seat bottom and seat back that help to anchor it down and those seem to work so far.
All in all, it is quality material and does its job well. Why only 4 stars? Compared to the other products which I have not used, I would have liked to see the pricing on this one a little bit lower. The description also does not illustrate very well how the cover is held into place. Not that that mattered too much. All-in-all, a good buy.
